Angry Re: tilley lamps

i have also got 2 north stars and a tilley lamp in the shed doing nothing, but as welsh steve said LEDS have come a long way over the years and its not worth the hassle and time mucking around with these ancient items, not are they bulky and a pain to light, but the space they take up in your boot also come in -LEDS LEDS LEDS ALL THE WAY-regards steve[m/side]

Ive got a tilley and a powerhouse gathering dust in the shed, with the amount of quility headlamps you can now get theres just no use for them.

Re: tilley lamps

I have a coleman gathering dust too. I now use an LED lamp, true you can't warm your hands on them, but that is why god gave clothing pockets. Easier to use and no risk of spilling fuel.
