| bait clip trouble just been out fishing-used multiplier for first time.noticed that the hook didnt always seperate from bait clip,never had this when using fixed spool reel.when i cast i was stopping the reel when the lead hit the water to avoid birdsnest.am i slowing up too soon? ![]() |

| Re: bait clip trouble Always set a stop knot 1cm above the clip so that it can slide during the cast and impact. I never stop the impact, but dab down on the reel a 1/2 second later to allow 'unclipping' or auto-ejection by an impact shield. Move over to cascade clips and impact shields if the problem re-occurs! This match rig shows you what I mean .... (I hope) ![]() |
