Question Boilies for Cod???

Did anyone see that article in last weeks Angling times about using Carp Boilies for Cod? Aparently a boilie manufacturer has been doing trials & their Squid & Mussel fishmeal boilies have been producing good results. Not sure that I would feel confident with just a couple of boilies on the hook, but how about a boilie tipped with Squid or Lug? Food for thought...

Re: Boilies for Cod???

as you say, food for thought,in the often murky depths of the english channel where visibility is measured in inches sometimes fish must feed primarily by smell and not sight,a nice 22mm boilie will also last longer then a standard lugworm bait when the crabs are busy,
having said that,i would feel a prize pillock casting out a couple of boilies on a crowded pier
