 Success in Cornwall 7lb Bass ! Had a really good time fishing last week . We caught loads of bass from the shore and we even got to go out on a boat trip bassing. If any of you havent tried spinning for bass from a boat then you must try it! We got a boat trip from porthleven and there were only the 3 of us plus the skipper and we only paid £30 each which was good as they usually charge £45 if you are going for bass. We were given light rods and reels and only used 12 lb line . We just kept casting and reeling in and all 4 of us caught 3lb 4lb 5lb bass and i got the best of the day a 7lb! It was really good fun , especially when you get one on because of the light tackle you use you get a good fight out of the fish. This was only on wednesday (20th oct) so the skipper knew what he was doing because he said before we went out that the big bass were coming in. We worked it out that the 4 of us caught over 5 stone of bass!! The perfect days fishing. Bouncer      |

| Re: Success in Cornwall 7lb Bass ! well done, I have a jink re bass in 40yrs of sea fishing never caught one  , had people on my boat catching then left right and centre use same bait rigs ect they have even passed me thier rod, but the bu**ers dont bite for me. Same happens on shore just can't work it out.  |
