| Hi Folks, OK, what with the cold and wet weather arriving, Im on the lookout for some wet weather clothing! The angling mages are full with adverts, but this has only added to my confusion as to what to buy. Do I go for a flotation suit? If I do, what type 1or 2 piece? Which make should I go for? Do I really need a flotation suit? Would a good set of waterproofs do? Should they be breathable or does it not matter? What about those Titan smocks, are they any good. If they are I wouldn’t mind one of those. The only pitfall with them I think is that they are either on or off!!! At the moment I use a Regatta waterproof coat. It’s the type that you can zip in a fleece if you wish. Its warm with a fleece but it does make it bulky! Tell ya what………..Tell me what you wouldn’t buy. It might save me from being bombarded with too many recommendations!! ![]() Cheers. Kiwi. __________________ Kia ora / Dia dhuit. - Matauranga kei ana kaha. | Re: Flotation Suits? Eeek, thats a bit weird, I've just posted about my Sundridge SAS 2 I intend to do a lot of fishing off the piers, breakwaters etc, so it seemed a logical choice if, god forbid, I get swept off the side. But at £80 ish as a waterproof set it aint much more expensive than those without flotation qualities, so I'd say go for itRob |

| Martin, Go for a 2 piece suit as Richard says, you can always take the coat off. I have both, Titan Smock and Bib'n'brace for not so bad weather... as Brixham. But also have flotation suit for Boat fishing and really rough weather. ( can be seen sporting it, whilst Tuna fishing in Ireland) As for looking like Mr Blobby... so who cares.... better to float than not at all! Anyway Santa wears one doesn't he? Us big blokes have to stick together......... you must wear one for the 31st could be rough and wet mate. ![]() |
