| Box or bag? Hi All Being relatively new to this but getting keen, we are starting to get a reasonable amount of kit and need a good way of keeping and transporting it. What do you guys use? I would imagine that some use boxes that double as seats and some use rucksacks but there could be other options. Any opinions most welcome. Thanks Simon |

| Re: Box or bag? 99% of time i use seatbox ( with back carry conversion essential i would say and best bit of kit ever) as doubles as seat as well, downside is fairly heavy and you will be temprted to stuff so much stuff into it as big use rucky if walking further __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives |

| Re: Box or bag? Bag I have to carry enough kit for two, so I use a big freshwater match fishing carryall. It's so big I can stuff 2 lots of wet weather gear (not flotation) in as well. Have considered a box but..... The carp chair is just too comfy to leave at home. Gives the old ticker a bit of excercise . __________________ Spahill <:--- --- --- --- It was this big --- --- --- ---:> |

| Re: Box or bag? I always carry too much kit. But recently I have changed over to a box so I do not carry a chair and a bag. The box is easier, I got a small box so I do not overload it, now I just have to get the weight down. I find a chair more comfortable but the sunridge box with the curved top is comfortable for a long session, I have just done 3 days fishing ( just daylight hours) and no back ache, so the box is going to be the new chair now!! Just need to look at the back carrying not shoulder carrier, gets to be a pain if it slips in muddy paths. __________________ Life is understood looking backwards, but it must be lived forwards. |

| Korum RuckBAG Must admit Im well impressed with the new Korum Ruckbag. Big enough for your kit but not to big that you end up filling it with the kitchen sink ![]() ![]() Quote:

| Re: Box or bag? I bought a cheap seat bag recently and use it for roaming sessions. I rarely sit when fishing though but found it quite useful for keeping the reel out of the sand when mullet fishing or plug fishing as I don't use a rod rest for either and the seat doubles up as one. __________________ Just remember, not all the heroes died. www.helpforheroes.org.uk |

| Re: Box or bag? Small Ruckie when Spinning/Plugging/Floating. SALT Ruckie for a shore/rock session great value and quality for the price. I use a roll up chair on a location close to the car which can slip in the straps of the SALT ruckie. | Re: Box or bag? Many thanks for the replies guys, apologies for not getting back sooner but I've been caught up in a longwinded redundancy process at work. Now that's over with (and I managed to keep my job) I can get back to normal life. I think I'll start with a small rucksack and then see how it goes! Regards Simon |
