Earthworms

Anyone ever heard of or used earthworm bait in the sea?

Re: Earthworms

I dont think earth worms would last long in salt water,
but i have caught afew Bass useing a bunch of lobworms
on tidal stretches of rivers under a bubble float years ago.

Re: Earthworms

Hmm, I suppose anything' worth a go perhaps, but I'm fishing right off the shore, no rivers to speak of really.

Typically someone somewhere will be sliding all over lugworms as they try and take a nice beach walk ha ha, me I garden for a living and constantly turn up the biggest juicy nice earth worms...thus the thought yesterday as they just kept on coming...and of course spend 99.7% of my fishing time by the sea.

Always the way eh.

Re: Earthworms

They use to be good for catching silver eels (in the days when there were loads of good sized ones) but the worms turn white very soon after being in salt water and then turn into mush.
