Thanks for all the good info might give boulmer a try, I have heard it mentioned a few times.

Went off st mary's lighthouse yesterday, got a couple cod just about size which I threw back. Conditions were terrible, couldnt chuck further than 70 yards with the wind.

Dazza, them places which we arnt allowed to fish, when has that ever stopped anglers in the past, lol.

u r right it doesnt stop some people i am not innocent i fish roker south pier although not allowed but i only go on in safe weather conditions and when its dark have not had any probs with security they just drive past if u got fishing gear with u best of all had some cracking fish from there

That reminds of me of being a kid and fishing there and at Crimdon and Blackhall. Sadly I left that area in 1988 (when I was 19), so haven't fished there since. In fact my first ever fish was a cod off Crimdon beach, I would love to catch another for old times sake, but down here in the south, my chances are diminished somewhat
