Cool Re: Prawns

Good post JP

I used them from a boat this year and they do work, and you are correct they do have an excellent scent that lasts quite a long time. I bought mine from a Chinese supermarket here in Bristol and were about £2.50 for a big box.

They are very good for Rays, if you put 3 or 4 on the line Pennel style. One trick that i use is to "prick" the eyes and this releases more scent for the fish to follow. Sometimes i use them to tip off with.

i always make sure i stick the hook down through the body and out through both eyes on squid

talking about chinese squid mate. they are tough little bodies so however you hook them they dont slip as much as the bigger heavier calamari. Glad you agree Shaun - very economical aswell!
