| Re: beach fishing just keep it simple try a 2 hook flapper and worm or fish bait, should get something featrhers for mackeral are effective but boreing after a few goes try the nearest tackle shop to where you are going for info, should be able to get the rigs ready made there as well and local advise always helpfull ![]() dave __________________ www.exmouthsaa.co.uk 24 beers in a case and 24 hours in a day simples You won't know unless you go :D...and if you do go!! please let us know :D as thats how the forum thrives |

| Re: beach fishing A flapper is what coarser guys call a paternoster ... hook above the weight stylee (no bait clips etc) .... I used to use a pat to catch bream on the Upper Arun in winter ... Bert Paternoster is well remembered in angling circles .. I mean, who would have thought of that????? Here's a two hook flapper which I use for bass in the surf ...... ![]() Ooops .... if you just want to catch 'something' rather than target fish with a specific bait ... scale this rig down to size2 Kamasan B940s and a half ragworm! |
