| Folks, I need sme information. Does anyone know a good source of literature on the latest sorts of kit available. I think I'm looking for a kind of fisher price A-Z of what a fixed spool is v's a baitrunner v's a whatsit do-dah. I really want to learn my stuff so I can go and buy the kit I need and eliminating the guesswork and searching through 101 very uninformative sites. Fortunately I've never had to displey my ignorance in any kind of fishing shop as yet, I've ordered a few bits online here and there but whenever confronted with epic selections and price ranges, makes and models and different photo's all looking radicly different I get just mildly overwhelmed. I fish off the shore just for mackerel at the mo', but I want to get into some other types, and some loch fishing too...I just wish I knew what I needed and was looking for, thus I'm thinking some sort of fishing bible for beginners would be a good start, up to date and covering the latest kit. ![]() Any help would of course be magic. Cheers folks Mr Cat (oh yea, I know rather little about my different types of fish either!) |
