Re: this months sea angler The rig did look impressive & the catch rate was excellent, I shall probably try one but not with that many beads. I hope it was'nt a wind up (dont see s/a with a sense of humour) but the rig did have bells on it.

Re: this months sea angler i brought it for the 1st time yesterday, i think i prefer total sea fishing personaly, it has more refference on how to do things, although alot of the articles seem to be the same there are also less adds selling the same things in tsf although i do like the free line holder, just what i need __________________ Bens The Name And Catchings The Game Anti the Anti's

Re: this months sea angler I'm sorry, but 700 flounders a year isn't that impressive!!! if you went fishing ONCE a week, at a mark RENOWNED for flounders and caught TWO, that would give you over a 100 fish per year... I'm sorry, that is not an impressive catch rate, by a long shot!!! And that rig was bordering on the ridiculous...I would bet my house that at a flatty venue, put me next to this guy with his rigs, and me geared up in a match situation, with MY PROPER RIGS, and I will give him a run for his money.. Flounders are becoming the bread and butter of match fishing, and we match anglers would never use anything as complicated as that, granted we may use the odd bead and sequin, but please, with bells on!! Fresh, good quality bait, thats what the fish are interested in... And now, i'm not gonna give that ridiculous rig any more air time...

Re: this months sea angler im gonna agree with paul but i havent seen sea angler yet so may change my mind! what i dont understand is why would you paint your lead as ben suggested?? u dont want the fish to see the entire rig! i think we should have a forum flounder bash where we test it for ourselves. say 6 of us use our standard scratching rigs and 6 use beadmans setup! that way we can verify for ourselves!

Re: this months sea angler by all means i agree with you john. only a few days ago i was discussing the use of booby's with you (booby beads of course!) i do not believe that anymore than a few are necessary though -
