Corralejo Fuerteventura very jealous stuart was there last year and had an amazing experience. on the beach a little further down than the wikiki by the roundabout i was snorkelling(not on the roundabout). coming in i put my foot down and felt something move so lifted myfoot up sharpish i had a little look and a stingray was "shuffling" itself back into the sand.... got out and told the wife who of course didn't believe me, so i took her out. just as we found it an italian came over and inadvertantly stood on it!!! my wife and i had a birds eye view as it emerged from the sand and glided off towards lobos...all 50 or 60lb of it...leaving a hysterical italian woman screaming!!!! all this and only 30 yards out in the middle of the day!! john __________________ 2012 targets - 180 yard measured cast, 10lb bull huss, 12lb blonde, 10lb hound, 8lb small eyed, spotted ray any size     |

Corralejo Fuerteventura Ive caught a small ray before (about 14" across), and had a big one bite and it took half my reel of line before the tip of the rod snapped of, followed shortly by the line snapping too. When they bite theres no jerk, just a steady and powerfull pull. Very strong creatures! Ive seen rays in the harbour under the boats that must be around 4 feet wide!! __________________ Work is for people who dont know how to fish... Fish.. Its whats for dinner |
