Mussels, Good or bad bait.

Just been to the local beach, I got hold of a bag of mussels.Get them home Put them in a bowl & poured over some boiling water.Waited for them to open up.Then filled it up with cold water.Removed the inside of the mussels.& bagged up 50.Then put them in the freezer.I will be trying them next time out. I think about 4/5 on a hook with some bait elastice.Look forward to your thought on this matter. All the best marty. If i can save money on bait. The misses will be happy. So that means more fishing tackle.See were i'm going with this.

Re: Mussels, Good or bad bait.

Mussels are very underrated mate, i have used them by stuffing a finger bandage full of them, then whipping it to the hook with elastic, you can get a good looking bait like that.
