Re: Charmouth/Seatown

Hi Paully,

Good tackle/Bait shop in West Bay, which is just up the road from you.

As said previously, Pingu has fished there, I've never ventured that far East yet, although have been to the above tackle shop. If you come West, the next tackle shop is in Seaton Harbour.

Regards, Darren

There's a nice pub right on the Beach at Seatown & two tackle shops at West Bay. It may be worth taking some Plaice rigs along with you as there's been a few caught just down the coast at West Bexington. Good luck.

Re: Charmouth/Seatown

as said bait from west bay, is tops

charmouth you can fish from car if want , as carpark is on beach(top carpark closed at night beware)clean ground central beach and too the right( where you will often have beach to self) too the left is snaggy as ..... untill you go past landslip( not advised in big tide like next week)
if day def try for a plaice, night sandeel worth a try as few small ray coming off now, also keep a bait in close as heard of few good bass recently

seatown is slightly deeper water, parking is the prob there as carpark closed after 8pm

otherwise fishes the same as charmouth more sheltered from wind as smaller bay

good luck dave
anything else just pm and i'll try to help

may be there myself next weekend as club open limits comp

Re: Charmouth/Seatown

Fished at Seatown on Tuesday from 1-30pm to 9-30pm.I managed 1 small plaice of 12oz,my old Dad got 1 dogfish on his last cast. I did have one good bite on sandeel/squid which lifted rod butt off the ground, but missed it.
