More time for Fishing

Morning All,

I hope everyone's well. I haven't been on for a while as I've been touring the Country on one of the most arduous farewell tours known to mankind. It's seen me severly intoxicated for prolonged periods in London, Gateshead, Swindon, St Austell, Torquay and several times closer to home. My last day at work started with a team breakfast in a local hostelry that opened specially for us at 8.30am, back to the office for a couple of hours and then over the pub again from 11.30am onwards. With hindsight, it was probably not a good idea to invite me to speak at 1pm as I told some stories that were a long way from PC.

As from 1 April I will be experiencing "Worklessness". It's just that sort of PC rubbish that has prompted me to hang up my boots a bit earlier than most. I simply don't understand half of what some of my colleagues are talking about these days and there's limited demand now for an "Ageing Gunslinger" which is how the new HR breed have been referring to me. Still I've made room for one or two to get a leg up so they should be happy.

As soon as the trembling stops and my vision improves I will be wetting a line again with a vengence. I have no intention of giving in to Mrs L's encouragement to learn how to operate domestic machinery.

I might give cooking a try though so the Chefs amongst us may get the occasional fraught PM seeking help.

Hope to post some catch details soon.

Re: More time for Fishing

best of luck on your retirement rich,in some quarters an " ageing gunslinger " would be an asset. such experience and knowledge is something some of the younger colleagues at work don't appreciate
