Exclamation Branscombe Parking 2008 warning

This is just a warning for all those that fish Branscombe

there are new Parking Charges in force this year.

last year parking varied from about £4 all day to either £2 or £1 after (deendant on season) for overnight

well theres been a bit of a Price hike

Its now
£1 for 1 hour
£2 for 2 hours etc, with a massive £85 penalty

and as the guy that owns carpark lives there sure the 24hour rule will apply

I know they got to make a living but this is just huge

think i'll be fishing seaton more often for the smoothies this year

you have been warned

dave

this is more of a heads up than a rant as i went there with usual £1 for barrier and was stuffed, its not so much the cost as thats similar everywhere just the % of rise is so huge

Re: Branscombe Parking 2008 warning

Thanks for that info pingu. Bloody typical as I've been planning to spend rather a lot of time there this year in the hunt for my first hound.
How well does Seaton compare to Branscombe for its Smoothie fishing?
I think I'll have to try to "double up" to make it financially viable to make the journey over there.

My 5h1t has been well and truly gripped by the greed of the land owner.

Re: Branscombe Parking 2008 warning

the charge is a disgrace, taking advantage of the recent sunken ship affair. I found the same horrific charges at trevose head, cornwall last summer. but you got no choice, if you wanna fish, you gotta bend over and take it up the brown-box.
