| Re: easy access You can virtually fish from the boot of your car on the wall at Blue Anchor if that helps. You can only fish for about 2 hours each side of high tide though as the sea disappears after that on this stretch of the Bristol Channel. I wouldn't rush to visit for a few weeks though as it's been awful the last few times I've been. __________________ Rich "If a thing's worth doing it's worth doing to excess!" |

| Re: easy access Town Quay in Southampth. Park up and fish out of your boot. No need to cast any distance whatsoever, fish are at all ranges. __________________ It has always been my private conviction that any man who pits his intelligence against a fish and loses has it coming. ~John Steinbeck |

| Re: easy access Mainly rag...you can also put a bait out for the bass, just drop it straight down of the quay, no need to cast it out. It's not fishing it's best at the moment, mainly pouting.....give it a few weeks and I'm sure TQ will produce it's usual variety of fish. | Re: easy access Wait until the begining of April and head down to Hill Head in the Solent. You can fish from your car there but if you walk about a 100m onto the spit you can catch double figure Thornbacks then. When the summer comes you are in with a shout for a British Record Smut from the same spot. I have had plenty of doubles. You need peeler crab though. |
