Re: a usefull site for sea conditions Nice one. Just in case any of you are not aware of this site www.windguru.cz it is a great site for wind speed and direction. It is a site for windsurfers, but is fantastic for boat and Sea Anglers. It is a Czechoslovakian site but the main language is English. You can call up most of the beaches through out the world. __________________ Check my blog for a daily fishing forecast from Weymouth, Portland, Chesil Beach & Kimmeridge Bay. www.fishingtails.co.uk

Re: a usefull site for sea conditions magic seaweed is a class sight. you do know how to inerpret the data though. a 3 foot swell travelling at 5 seconds will probably result in 1-1 1/2 foot swell on the beach but at 9 seconds that will be virtually 3 foot as it hits the beach... really good site though. john __________________ 2012 targets - 180 yard measured cast, 10lb bull huss, 12lb blonde, 10lb hound, 8lb small eyed, spotted ray any size

Re: a usefull site for sea conditions the swell readings are done out at sea on NDOAC wave bouys the ones for wales are off pembroke basically the slower the swell is moving then it won't be as powerfull and will dissipate by the time it hits the beach. a faster swell the more powerfull it is and hence looses less height when it comes into shallow water. john __________________ 2012 targets - 180 yard measured cast, 10lb bull huss, 12lb blonde, 10lb hound, 8lb small eyed, spotted ray any size
