Please excuse my ignorance but do you have to actually fish together? or does nearness of location not matter?

The whole idea is to team up with someone that fishes differently to you, ie a coarse angler with a sea angler, gives you the best chance of hitting a spread of species.

How local they are is not important, although it is nice to meet up a couple of times during the year for the craic.
