Always go with your first gut feel!

Today I was planning to fish Portland Bill for Wrasse on light tackle for some good sport but was seduced by the talk of 3lb and 4lb Plaice from Abbotsbury when I arrived in Weymouth. Needless to say, nada. Sea was running a big swell so didn't help with bite detection, but as far as I could tell nobody caught a damn thing.

Should have gone to Portland as my instinct said there was going to be good sport. I even dug out my floats and bought some peelers.

Hythe for tomorrow mornings early high tide is where I am heading and I will NOT be seduced into going to Magazine Lane.

Cheers Richard. I hope it's not as rough at Chesil on our members day....

I'm taking Plankton Boy's advice tomorrow and heading off to Hythe Marina. I'll report back tomorrow afternoon.

Members day is all about gettting together and enjoying the day which will be very good and the fish well I will say a little dito to who ever

Remember if your not catching get a coffee in your hand have a fag and as soon as you do this ( cannot strike) the bights will come :lol:
