| Stevie Allmark??? Anyone know why or what happened to the Stevie Allmark features in TSF. They were spot on, a true pro willing to share his secrets with us. I have a feeling that the crap that was going on about a bass feature in the mag, where the fish were allegedly gill netted by Barney Wright, has broken the ranks. Anyone shed any light on it? | Re: Stevie Allmark??? Steve is not a happy man. The bass was caught by him genuinely on rod and line. Knowing Steve and the friend who he has spoken to about the accusation, I have no doubt who I believe. |

| Re: Stevie Allmark??? Having been made aware of the issues this has caused and following the links to this site, I thought it best to reply to this thread to explain a few things. Like the rest of the members here (and a considerable many other people), knowing Steve, we to have found him to be completely genuine and a thoroughly decent chap. The last thing we would want to do is to bring his reputation and integrity into disrepute and therefore to prevent any further potential damage, this article was removed as soon as we became aware of the issues surrounding it. We have no idea where or why the story originated and nor do we want to get into guessing games. You can do a lot with photos these days with a variety of software packages, so how could you tell which photo was 'modified'? Given that the story could not be substantiated and wanting to protect the reputation and integrity of one of the finest anglers around, plus TSF, this was why the article was removed. I hope Steve and TSF accept our apologies. |
