Collecting Lug (bait pump)

Hi everyone,

I have just spent a couple hours digging for lug with little success and now after an aching back Im looking to invest in a bait pump and was wondering if I would be able to use it on the Bristol channel coastlines like (Blue anchor and Brean) as I was looking on some websites which say the bait pumps don't work on all coastlines. I dont really want to buy one if I can't use it. I would really appretiate any advise on buying one, which one and tips on how to use it. Thanks for reading.

Re: Collecting Lug (bait pump)

I seem to recall that Upnorth did a report on one a while back in Sea Angler magazine. He may be the guy to ask. Try sending him a PM

I get all of my lug from steve's at westcoast angling at watchet and most of the time they are good lug, he get's the lug in on a thursday and its best to ring and order the lug because it goes quick. or if you want to dig lug, burnham is a good place to dig for lug. I dug there last year and i got some good lug from there.
