Help with Bait for Spain.

Hi all, first post and well I need something already :)

Im not a sea angler I have only done it a couple of times, my normal quarry lives in a river.

However Im off for a break to spain and I am planning on taking a Travel Rod and what not to do a bit of beach casting.

I just wondered are there any baits that I can buy over here and take with me?

Or, can you recommend any "supermarket" baits that I can buy over there that are worth putting on the end of my line?

Does plain old bread work for sea? really havent got a clue and really cant be botherered hunting crabs down or a tackleshop over there.

Thanks in advance

Re: Help with Bait for Spain.

Caught my very first fish in Spain. A nice mullet on breadflake. However, this was using float tactics in a harbour, so it was just a little chuck out. If you're beach casting, you've got no chance of the bread staying on the hook, IMO.

Should be able to get some squid/prawns/cockles etc.. from the local fish market which should work I'd have thought.

Best of luck.
