| Alternative Saltwater Flyfishing You may get the unexpected. Went flyfishing for mullet in the Sussex Ouse this afternoon. Fished about five miles inland. Cast a #18 Pheasant Tail over a shoal of thinlips and this was the result. Fairly hooked too. ![]() Smallest bass I have ever caught -smaller even than the minnow which was my previous smallest fish on fly. Didn't realise the very small ones have spots. Noticed shoals of 'em chasing my fly - so supplies of bass are ensured for the next few years. __________________ RNLI Governor Nothing matters very much, few things matter at all - Plato ...only things like fresh bait and cold beer - Vagabond |
