Paul, how about doing a coaching session, and then a pendulum casting competition? If it's at low water there is a lovely area of dead flat and compacted shingle it could be done from at Abbotsbury and West Bexington.

I watched a guy at a match on Chesil the other day pendulum casting, and he was good. I swear he was lobbiing well over 150 metres.

Yeah, that could be arranged mate..

Usually when I do a teaching session, I begin with an induction..

The safety issues, importance of leaders, good knot tying, and the quality of end tackle, rigs, mono's and co-polymers etc...

I've actually hit a cast over 240yds over grass, but regularly hit 220's - but with bait...! no-way, as you will well know, soon as you put bait on, the cast is reduced, but well tied, slim line rigs, with small baits, and you can still hit 140's 150's...

Great. Once we get the go ahead from Richard we'll start putting it together. I'll swap phone numbers with you as it might be easier to discuss via the phone.

I've got a few days lined up for forum discussion.

Sat June 12th is high tide at 15:50 as half way between neap & spring
Sat June 19th is high tide at 20:40 and it's a spring
Sat July 7th is high tide at 19:55 and it's a spring too

June sounds great to me...I wonder if a few of us could book into West Bay caravan park, or will it be fully booked by then, a few travelling anglers could share the accomodation and the costs...??

And it has an on-site bar...

Never used West Bay as I live close enough to travel. Do you have contact details? I think minimizing the cost for those having long travelling times is a must. We should try to sort out car shares too if possible. I'll have a mate coming down from Tewkesbury most probably so he might be able to pick up Richard on the way as they are quite close. Is West Bay up in Watchet Paul?

there is a caravan park right on the road that leads down to West Bexington. I'll pop in next time I'm out that way to check on vacancies.
