Advice on confidence !!!!!

Evening anglers ,
well im after a bit of advice , im trying to get back my confidence for casting my multis , ive always managed to get a respectical distance without nesting and snatching , but i had 1 bad day at clarence pier a month or 2 ago , and ever since cant get the distance or smoothness of my casting correct , its got to be down to confidence , as i have changed nothing , i run a abu mag elite (green ) with a abu esprit 13ft , a mag elite (florida orange ) with a daiwa sandstorm 13 ft , use 15 lb ultima mainline and bullet tapered shockleader , im a off the ground caster , and nearly always lob out using 6 ozs of lead , i have tried just lobbing out a lead and alls fine but as soon as i attach a rig , it goes all tits up !!!!!!, clip downs as well !!! got to get back on form ,
any ideas please ??????

hi m8, its a job to tell without watching your cast,
i'm no expert
but i'd suggest ;- to start, adjust magnets too max and slow the cast down , dont hit it too hard or early.
if this works then increase power, if all ok back off the mags a bit at a time till you see the line start to 'lift' from the spool during the cast then don't back them off any more.

ps, 6oz could be a little exessive, drop to 5's, this should increase tip speed because there is less weight to 'pull' against and help stop you loading the rod too early.
i'd only uses 6es and more into a head wind and/or with big baits .

ahh, just read the bit about the rigs...... it doesn't seem much but the extra drag from the rigs/bait can be just enough to stall the lead a little in mid cast and fluff the reel, just a few clicks to tighten the mags may be enough.
