Losing the will to fish Does anyone else go through stages when they just cant be arsed to sort the tackle out,dig the bait and get out there fishing ? Or is it just me? For about 2 months now ive not really been arsed ,it happens every few years and then i ll snap back into it and be well up for sessions. Anyone else lose the will or is it just me? ![]() __________________ One day i will post a catch report again.

Re: Losing the will to fish I have not been fishing long enough to have reached that stage, but I do find if I do the same type of fishing too often I lose motivation to go. I would suggest you have a change of style, make it a bit more of a challenge, or even just try something you know you are bad at just to give you the kick you need to beat it. Get a challenge going, I have found the species hunt has kept me motivated on days when I would rather have stayed in bed. __________________ Life is understood looking backwards, but it must be lived forwards.

Re: Losing the will to fish I heard of a few people who are feeling the same as you......I'd suggest to give it a break, do something different and don't worry, the will to fish will soon come back. As they say, too much of a good thing can spoil it.....maybe you just need some time out. Or try as Mike (above) said. __________________ There is certainly something in angling that tends to produce a serenity of the mind." - Washington Irving

Re: Losing the will to fish I've had the opposite problem, I just can't find the time to get out (Too much to do at home) Try another type of fishing mate. Go over to the dark side or try a bit of fluff chucking. __________________ Don't Judge My Path If You Haven't Walked My Journey...

| Re: Losing the will to fish Hi Gully, I've had this feeling for quite some time now. As a charter fisher, more often than not my pre arranged outings have been called off and I have been down in the dumps with nothing to do. However in the last few weeks I have bought a new house in Bridport, Dorset, that is only 10 minutes from the Chesil Beech, and I am sure that I will be giving it all that I have got to make up for lost time. I cannot wait for the removal date, when it arrives I wil be on the beach as often as possible and on the local boats every weekend. You people who have lived next to the sea all of your lives don't know how how lucky you are, the beach on one side and the country on the other. I will now be able to join you.
