Re: Losing the will to fish

Think we all get like that sometimes mate, if it happens to me i go tiddler bashing at a pond or something, no pressure and just pure fun, it sometimes helps.

Now you told me you had to paint the toilet again - most painted toilet in Pompey yours .... so thats why I am billy-no-mates on the beach

However in the last few weeks I have bought a new house in Bridport, Dorset, that is only 10 minutes from the Chesil Beech, and I am sure that I will be giving it all that I have got to make up for lost time.

I cannot wait for the removal date, when it arrives I wil be on the beach as often as possible and on the local boats every weekend.

You people who have lived next to the sea all of your lives don't know how how lucky you are, the beach on one side and the country on the other. I will now be able to join you.

Drew
Hmmmm Could this be a Barbecue or early breakfast venue for the next Forum Chesil Beach meet.

soon as i stopped fishing competively i started to realy enjoy it again ,
i now love it again cos i can go for what ever i want, when i want ,how i want.

Re: Losing the will to fish

UMMM touched a raw nerve here. Fished since 6 years old. Stopped at about 17 when girls stopped being stupid. Got married, had children, started fishing again late 20's...got another boat. Fished whenever I could then 2 years ago just stopped again.....don't know why? Boat moored at Teignmouth, not been out in it for 2 years. Poor thing looks awfully neglected.
I guess life just does weird stuff to you. This last couple years started a new company, lost my Dad, son (main fishing partner and crew) left home, decided to move to a new country, house needed work. Things just kinda happen. But fishing is always there waiting for me.
Shame but looks like tuna fishing in the med as wife has agreed to new boat when we move.
Life sucks but I just love it.
Don't worry mate........fishing will always be there for you. Jules.

Bloody hell mate after reading this i have no reason at all to stop,i reckon the best cure is to get out there and catch some fish
Hope it goes well for you in the med and you find the urge to fish again .
John
