| Re: mullet mullet can easily be spooked by a float, if you do use one then have a 6 foot or so hooklink, to make a bit of weight dunk the bread flake in the water just prior to casting, gives it a bit of omphf to the cast. __________________ Life is brief and fragile. | Re: mullet Another way to get some weight to cast when freelining is......use a crust as hook bait, mash a slightly large ball of bread, mould it around your hook bait. This will dissolve in the water, leaving your hookbait bare. | Re: mullet Carp 'controller' or clear bubble float if distance is really necessary. Get them taking the bread mash, then over-cast and carefully bring it back into the cruising area. ![]() |
