| Big Danny hits a biggy.... Just heard that Danny Moeskops did a cast of 285m today in Wales ! thats around 313yds -  NEW WORLD RECORD big well done to you Danny - where will it end? (Probably the moon!!)      |

| Re: Big Danny hits a biggy.... Wow thats a fifth of a mile. (isnt it?) Casting to me is a very sensitive issue. Its a bit like peeing in a mens toilet. I am terrified in case some one looks at my willy and finds it shorter than theirs. Its the same with casting, Swoosh goes the guy on my right, we all wait ages for that little splash as his lead hits the water. Swoosh goes the guy on my left, another long wait for that irritatingly distant splash. Then the moment arrives when i cant possibly delay retrieving my rig any longer, I have to do it. I assume the position (as recommended in all the casting books) Then swish plop, The rig lands about 20 feet infront of me and I imeadiately bring into operation my anti embarrasment tactic of thumping my reel and swearing "Bloody reel I cry". Then the long wait until both my neighbouring anglers go for a pee at the same time, when I quickly recast (with the same results). However on there return I casualy mention that I just narrowly avoided hitting that boat way out on the horizon. __________________ Luv Foggy It wasnt me! |

| Re: Big Danny hits a biggy.... Did that the other day - nearer 300yds really had a 4/0 squid flapper bait and pulled in that 50lb tope ...... then I woke up ... the things we dream of - help !
