Muses on blanking.

It occurs to me that blanking (ie catching nothing) is actually a very good thing. Each time we fail to catch anything we achieve a little mental credit in the part of our brain which deals with euphoria. You cant feel it, and indeed you may feel depressed but that credit stays there to be added to other credits.

In my case its Bass, just cant catch one, I must have 20 credits in my euphoria brain cell by now.(ok 50).
But one day when that line goes tight and I see that silver streak through the water, when i land my Bass, when other anglers come to look and pat me on the shoulder, then and only then will my brain cash in my euphoria credits, in a wave of self satisfaction, a pouring out of well being, I may smile, or even laugh, I may if i have enough credits loose control of my bowells! (floatation suit advised). It beats heroin hands down. Even at that early stage I will be planning my endless speeches of my titanic battle.

So fellow anglers, when you catch nothing, smile and remember each blank only serves to make that eventual catch sooooooooooo sweet.

LOL, Thanks for the adulation Lol.

I do Muse a lot, My wife says Foggy your always bloody Musing, what about the shelves you promised to put up. Oh how mundane.But even in that i see a Muse, If I put up the shelves we would have nothing to talk about.
