| Re: Novice needing a bit help.... Hi The mainline is Daiwa Sensor monofil 18lbs and the shock leader is greased weasel 50lb,not sure if this is tapered.... Cheers Jamie |

| Re: Novice needing a bit help.... Not used the greased weasel stuff but i dont think they are tapred i will need to be quoted on that. Basically a tapered leader goes from say 50lb line down to 15 or 18lb line the same as your real line (Hence the line is tapered) You normally get like about 6 of them on a spool that are precut to length. I have a levelwind reel and i have had the leader knot hit in the levelwind before, this is why i went for a tapered leader so thet the knot becomes a lot smaller and passes through the levelwind a lot easier.
