Need help!

I don't know anything about Fishing and I need help.
It's my Uncle's 60th Birthday and "we" the kids want to get him something linked to his hobby of Sea fishing.....
Obviously he has all the gear, we think??.... Maybe a trip linked to Sea fishing??? but where and what. He lives in the South West.
Or do you have any other ideas.... all suggestion most sincerely welcome!!!

Re: Need help!

Just happened past your post there. Now, I am a shore angler but don't know about your uncle. That said, as a shore angler, I have always fancied a trip out on a boat Shark fishing. Several of the Cornish ports do Sharking trips but don't know how they do these days. If it's eventually a warm summer this year may be a chance of getting into a Porbeagle if he's lucky I guess . Only an idea, Simon at the Exmouth SAA

Re: Need help!

If he has all the gear you think - the best pressie IMHO would be a gift voucher from your (his) local tackle shop.

He can go in and buy something he needs, someone with everything, it is not easy to choose something so vouchers are ideal - not very original I accept but ideal and sure he would be glad to accept !

Re: Need help!

not sure if you fish with your dad but a simple pressie would be for all his kids to go fishing with him, you could have a barbie on the beach. it would be a kind of fishing party! only a thought?

Re: Need help!

I guess im to late for your uncles birthday, but for the man who has everything then how about a bag to put it in?

Im nearly 60 and i would like my family to arrange a fishing trip for me and supply 3 or 4 young female escorts to carry the gear and generally mop my fevered brow. (I presume your auntie would scupper this one).

hold on still thinking...........

Another idea would be to take him fishing and arrange for a diver to put an 18lb bass on his hook then give it a good tug.

or how about some fishing videos, books, or a casting course? I think ill stick with the escorts though.
