sea bait - halibut pellets

Question - Anybody tryed halibut pellets for sea fishing.(what do you think)

did they work ?? - if so how were they rigged (hair rig ??)

flounders love 'em in the winter months in my local estuary....just nipped on the hook, no need for a hair rig.

Isn't that a little difficult to do, as the pellets would crumble? even when drilled, they'd crumble as soon as you would try to push them over the shank?!

You could use pellet bands to hold it on the hook though I guess

I suppose you could use a bait band, is quick and easy and requires no drilling
