warsash beach

i thought i would post up afew pics of where i fish

this is the view along the beach, where the water is in that pic it sudenly shallows out n gets very flat as you might be able to see in the back ground, on the other side of the water is hamble point (i think)

here you can see the spit thingy, on the right hand side is a sheltered lagoon with a very muddy bottom full of ells and mullet/bass in the summer months, it can also aparently produce decent flounders to. there is a stream running down the middel exposed at low tide from the salt marshes in the nature reserve. the left ahnd side of the pic is the same as above. in the back ground is hamble

this pic isnt as good due to the sun but its just looking along the beach in the other direction, i the back ground you should be able to see the ilse of wight

Re: warsash beach

Great pics mate its always nice to see what other places look like and i must say that looks a great place to fish!! does it get really busy in the summer or is it quite quiet? looks very empty there when you took your pics and nice weather so i presume it stays quite quiet!! all in all nice post mate

Re: warsash beach

it stays very quiet, in the summer months you can expecxt 3-4 people there because it aint a nice place to swim and they are usualy elderly people, if you want you can walk further up the beach and you wont see any1 else. dogs can be abit of an issue depending on what time of day you go, as can runners in the morning

also due to the nature reserve if a rare bird is spotted the place comes alive with bird watchers but they dont get in the way, tyhe only time i had a prob with them was when my mate brought his dog n it scared off a king fisher

Re: warsash beach

yes sure, but bare 1 thing in mind, if im your guide that rules out any chance of catching a fish
i think there was a comp going on there yesterday, either that or a club metting cause there were about 20 fishermen all on 1 strech of the beach when i walked down there, i wasnt fishing though (had to work ) but i am gonna be fihsing today
got some off cuts from the fish from work and i wil be interested to see if they work
so its gonna be rag worm n haddock mix today
