OK Don't laugh - halibut pellets as bait for beach.

Look I can see that sideways "here he goes again" look from some south wales based charter skippers before I even get started. I am not on about sticking them out of the front or back of the Helen Dan and yes I know I really should just get the basics sorted out. I just can't resist.

What are peoples thoughts (clean please , it's a family show) on using large smelly coarse fishing pellets in the sea.

im going to use some for my mullet ground bait.. but im going to stick to something very fine.. hopefully to get the fish in routing about looking for food they may work even better for a river as i could get a steady release of smelly oils downstream to get the mullet feeding .. its something im going to work on this summer

See encouraging me just makes me think even more. Next time I'm out I'll give it a go and let people know what happened. Knowing me I'll use some big ones on the hook and an inline feeder near the lead to add to the attraction.
What the heck, it's the only way we'll find out hey! Course now I've got to figure where and when I'll next be by the sea.

i don't see any problem with it mate,i suggested a long time on here about the possibility of using boilies as a bait in the sea,some of the fishy boilies will work i'm sure,the amount of oil the halibut pellet gives off i think that will attract a few as well

speaking of boilies, at a local tackle shop i go to she sais she drops boilies out the back of her boat and she has sharks going for them and she eats them too.. crazy women, well they do have all these chocolate flavours and lemon and stuff i wonder what they taste like... i have also seen some shrimp pellets somewhere that could be good.
