Re: Help sea n course fishing

Corgy, like fresh water fishing it depends what kind of fish your are targeting....also what hook size you intend to use (no good using big bait on small hook).....there are so many different bait i.e. rag worm, party squid, full size squid, full mackerel, mackerel strips, only the head of a mackerel, sandeel. I could go on and on....I'm no expert in sea fishing but there are some great sea anglers here and I'm sure they will able to help you

hi corky
im no expert but :-
for tope you want mackerel flappers or live mackerel on a 6/0 - 8/0 strong hook with 150lb trace line

for rays id go for mackerel strips or sandeel on a 4/0 - 6/0 hook 40-50 lb trace line

for conger id say mackerle / pout flapper, cuttle fish, or big squid baits on 8/0 - 10/0 hook on 150lb+ trace lines

but if you are going on charter trip id speak to the skipper first as he might be taking you some where the are no big monsters, and he will guide you how the fish the area you are going to
good luck
