Last boat trip I was on,I saw a guy,not one of my party throw a good handful of tangled tackle, hokkai's etc overboard.About 12-20 hooks in total.I asked him what he thought would happen to any fish that took those hooks and he just shrugged and said tough. It got me to thinking, how many other people do that and don't think of the consequences? So,to the point, does anyone know of a supplier sells those hooks that corrode after a few days in salt water? All replies will be very helpful. Cheers chaps and chapesses. __________________ 2 trips this year 0 blanks,7 whiting,1 flounder

Re: Hooks i think that the skipper of that charter boat should be putting a stamp on things like that, and any found doing it should be band of his boat, also he should provide a bin for old hooks etc, what about the other wild life that can get tangled up in the old line never mind eating the old worms and haveing the hoohs in them aswell. ![]() __________________ forced too work born too fish

Re: Hooks I have always used the black aberdeens, I understand they corrode very quickly in the fish's digestive system. As to the wally that dumped tackle over the side, well I would tangle him up in fishing line and hooks and toss him overboard!! We really seem to be living in a thoughtless society these days.
