Re: North Somerset or North Devon coast

just going by anglers guide to marks you have hinkley point and brean down close by first is low water venue and snaggy other is high water venue and best on left hand side beach, using rag as bait on both for bass and other summer fish
high tide at porlock is at 6.35pm bst and on a spring,
sorry I'm not v good on north coast(or south if you ask missus) so hope this helps
avoid the tourist areas as still have hundreds of grockles down ere

Give this site a go. Click on the shore venues part of the menu and it gives a map with various marks, just keep clicking and it eventually gives full details of how to get there, type of ground etc.

http://www.bristolchannelangling.co.uk/index1.htm

The Veals mail order site also has some useful information on Somerset marks.

Re: North Somerset or North Devon coast

Cheers guys,

Sorry for the late reply, have visited both sites and Veals is a good one, gives directions to the marks.

Have decided on Bossington, i heard theres a chance of the odd Smooth hound, but if M5 is chocker will go back to Lilstock and try from the shore this time.

Just love Smoothounds.................

Cheers Shaun
