i aint had a single flounedr yet this year and i was getting quite afew this time last year, and i aint seen any` get 1 either but lots of school bass and quite afew bream
o yeah and lots of sea weed, theres about 3 times as much this year, if you try fishing just before high tide its nearly inposible but it goes after high tide

where you fish you dont seem to get many fish but you get the good species like bass and bream

yeah but non of any decent size, or not yet anyway
is it the right time of year now for flounders?? cause all the 1s i got last year were big enough to eat unlike all the lil schoolies i had this year and the odd bream, shame can eat smoothy

best time for flounders here is winter but up where you are i think its different

wierd for them this year coz they hav been caught off the beaches all year and lots of them aswel

cant get to the beaches thow

Don't know about the beach, but I've used sprats on wrecks with some success,
thinking being... if pollock and ling cough 'em up when caught, they must be fedding
on them

Well it seems its worth a go using sprats

When using them in freshwater I sometimes marinate them over night in i.e blood worm / squid extract ect.

Or on the river bank I inject them in the stomach with the above

So if I can get some for the next weekend shore fishing meet up I will give it a go and will post the results

does it improve catch rates that much using stuff like that in the bait??
i read somewhere about stuffing whole squid with blended macky n worm n stuff for catching cod and just wrape the end up with bait elastic
any1 hear of that sorta thing before??

ive heard of stuffing whole squid with peeler crab.
they use that down at berry head in the winter to catch the cod and it seems to work there but i have never tried it myself
