Hi

just thought it would be an idea to try and have a members day fishing...

Pick a venue, and we'll all meet up, have a bit crack, a good days fishing, and maybe a bit liquid refreshment!!!

I was thinking, everyone knows where Chesil is, and i'd be prepared to travel, just plenty of notice to plan and we're in business...although I would probably have to make a weekend of it, but i'd probably bring the missus, and she could stroll around Dorset, while I fished!!!

I'll throw it open to the forum and see what sort of reaction we get...

Obviously, I would advise juniors to be accompanied with an adult, parent etc, just to be on the safe side..

Cheers

Steve,

Chesil is easy find. The top marks are all simple to get to and a few have really good parking. West Bexington and Abbotsbury are fishing well at the moment and generally tend to all year.

I think the best bet is to select 5 or 6 of the top marks and then a week before talk to the boys at Weymouth Angling to find out which is fishing best. I'm prepared to put together direction details for all the marks.

I can't do April 18th though.

Cheers
Paul

There are two wrecks Steve, but they are not exactly on the beach. You'll need to be a 100+m metre caster to get to tthem. There is a wreck called the The Adelaide and she lies out at 120m and there is The Landing Craft and she is out at 100m. There are triggers on these wrecks. Both of these marks were ones I was thinking of.

NOTE: Be very careful when handling triggers as they have awesome front teeth and very strong jaws. they are capable of tearing off chuks of coral. One of the divemasters I used to dive with in Egypt had a chunk taken out of his calf by a triggerfish, and it was a big chunk too. they are very aggresive in breeding season.
