can i just ask the difference between a baitrunner and feeder reel? can all them reels be used for ur standard float fishing?

bait runner has a free spool mechanism for carp ,feeder reel is a heavy duty fixed spool for chucking feeders leads ect float reels are smaller and lighter if its a smaller feeder reel you could float with it i spose

what is a free spool mechanism? i watch a lot of matt hayes an wen hes got a fish on hes always fidgitin with compartments on his reel, do u kno wa that is about? sorry if this sounds stupid but can u fish a method feeder on a float?

No, the method feeder would be too heavy for the float and drag it down.

A better way would be to float fish above the spot your method feeding
