Re: Hook sizes my mate never bothered with pack sizes, he put them all loose in a tin, when he got on the bank, he just selected the right size for the bait he was using, he did the same with his lead shot, it worked for him, still fishing the same way today, lol __________________ good luck and tight lines chris lifes to short for animosity.

Re: Hook sizes Back to my skool days then - (had a few "SEE ME's" in red pen & Martin is a dreamer in my time) but no was meant to be of the sage & onion (paxo) kind. __________________ Fishing - the best fun you can have with your clothes on.

Re: Hook sizes My philosophy tends to be, the nearer the fish the better quality your end tackle needs to be. I'd much rather fish with an average reel and rod (as long as they do they job), good reel line, excellent hook length and hooks. Within reason of course, just because a hook is made of the latest carbon fibre wotsits.......And I mean quality not necessarily price. If you find a source of excellent quality gear and it's cheap BONUS! __________________ Just remember, not all the heroes died. www.helpforheroes.org.uk
