| best length of rod for rocks?? hey guys...what, in you opinion is the best length of rod t have for fishing off rocks?...i got a 12 footer...but i dont have a clue about cast weights or anything.. thanks... __________________ Not bother to do it, if it won't be any fun!     |

| Re: best length of rod for rocks?? The best rock rods are about 13 foot and are very stiff for pulling out of snags. The Ron Thompson Axellerator is 13 foot 6 inches, I quite fancy one of those! Meant to be the best rod for the money! I think the higher the rod tip the better chance you have of getting your gear over the snags and back to the shore. 12 foot should be fine though, 13 might be a bit better if you are really struggling.
