quick drag conversion dont pay the £10

ok i get asked how to convert daiwa reels to quick drag the same way as you pay £10 for on Fleabay ,,ok here goes undo the clutch button from the reel turn over the button you will see 2 screws of the crosshead type ,undo these take off the back plate from button housing inside you will find a spring remove spring reassemble the clutch button do not overtighten the two cross head screws aas you will strip the plastic ,,place back on reel instead of having to wind the clutch right off to make it free running 11/2 turns should do it and when you get a bite just turn it back a turn and half to engage to desired setting ,,not a bait runner or a switched bait runner conversion but if you havent got alot of cash it solves a problem,,works for all daiwa emcasts and all pit and sea reels with split clutch button (take apart),,,,hope ive saved you some cash
