Horseshoe lake, Gloucester info

Hey all,

I've been wanting to go to this lake for a while now as I've read this place is great for tench which is my favourite fish. I have heard that this place has a funny pricing system in that if your not a member (which I'm not) you have to pay £10 for a ticket and then £1 for every hour you fish. How does this work? What if I pay for 12hrs and then leave after 8 if its not fishing well? Or is it just tough luck and you've lost out on the extra hours you didn't fish. Also if I'm not a member could night fish it? And if so would that still be the same pricing system with the pound for every hour you fish.

Any tips of good tench spots would be much appreciated as well.
