| Re: what tackle to use on a canal thats all i would have dude, i use a clear float about 3/4inches long, i have a 7ft rod and a very cheap reel, i use a 18 hook with mixed maggots. you could try different style floats. what is it you wanna catch? im new to it all but copy set ups ive seen that have caught perch, chub, roach, dace, etc. Maybe some lures, or ledgers im not sure dude __________________ Feel free to check out my photo's www.facebook.com/saladdodgerphotography Twitter: UKAndyWilliams |

Have a look at this link which should give you the info you need for fishing a canal using a Float Rod, a Whip or a Pole. < A Beginners Guide to fishing a Canal > __________________ My Web Site (The Average Coarse Angler) Happiness is Fish Shaped (It used to be woman shaped but the wifes getting on a bit now) |

Although I occasionally walk a length of canal using a light 7ft spinning rod and taking a few very small mepps spinners with me for catching decent sized Perch and the occasional Chub and It can be great fun. __________________ My Web Site (The Average Coarse Angler) Happiness is Fish Shaped (It used to be woman shaped but the wifes getting on a bit now) |
