Neat little trick for Groundbait Now we all know how good of an attractant Tuna scented ground-bait is. Last month I was mooching around the house deciding what to have for lunch, being of Norwegian blood my tastes usually end up being some sort of fishy delight. so I went into the kitchen and grabbed a few tins of Tuna. Upon opening the first tin the beautiful fishy aroma flooded the kitchen, and my wife being the soft and gentle English flower she is remarked 'Jesus that f**king reeks'. Well ladies and gentlemen it hit me that I could use the brine to mix my ground-bait together rather than water, the smell would be an epic attractant. So I emptied the tines brine into an old coke bottle and stuffed it in the freezer. A week later the bottle was full (yes I eat and average of 12-15 tins a week). I took the bottle with me and mixed up the ground-bait, plonked it in the feeder and casted out. No less than five minutes Later I was in to a 10lbs Carp. That day I caught a net weight of 56lbs in just 2 hours. Tuna water is awesome.

Re: Neat little trick for Groundbait yeah mate i tend to use bread, sweet corn and some tuna with the brine for my ground-bait, and if i find its not attracting the fish i used a bit of vimto to add some nice scent to it, seems to work well.

Re: Neat little trick for Groundbait I'm a bit like your wife, I hate the smell of any strong fishy smells but will definitely be trying the tuna juice! ;)
