can anyone please tell me why a match angler can use his net for 6 hrs cant and a pleasure angler cant----fishery owners are stupid in my eyes as i no a lot of pleasure anglerts only go to fisheries where they can use nets

I don't personally feel the need for keepnets if your pleasure angling. Why keep fish unnecessarily in a net if your not in a competition? If you owned a lake would you want your fish kept in keepnets unnecessarily?

I agree; do you really need to keep fish unnecessarily in a net if your not in a competition?.

I know its nice to be able to see what you have caught at the end of the day and that occasionally you don't necessarily want released fish to spook the rest of the shoal (which can sometimes happen) but you do need some control on how fish are treated and to limit the time a fish is kept in keepnets by limiting it to matches seems slightly better than letting everyone do it all the time.

Which is why a lot of waters limit keepnets to matches nowerdays.
